Hyderabad: TRS has permitted its cadre to participate in protest meetings organized by MIM.
This decision of Mr. KCR has created unrest among the party circles.
People’s representatives of TRS are not in favor of participating the protest meetings against CAA and NRC as it may affect their chances of winning municipal elections. It might result in losing Hindu votes also.
Many TRS leaders met the working President of TRS, Mr. KT Rama Rao and expressed their anxiety.
It is reported that CM of TS Mr. KCR telephoned TRS Minister, Mr. Prashant Reddy to participate in the protest meeting organized by MIM but he did not attend.
The constituency in which the protest meeting was organized, the local MLA also did not attend whereas Muslim MLA of TRS representing Bodhan participated in it.
It is reported that Mr. Farooq Hussain, MLC, Mr. Mohammed Imtiaz, Senior TRS leader have also opposed the friendship of TRS with MIM.
However, Mr. KTR made it clear that TRS will contest on all the seats in municipal elections and there will not be any pre-poll alliance with MIM.
