Hyderabad: A 9-year-old boy, Ayaan is suffering from a rare disease, ‘Complement Hyperactivation, Angiopathic thrombosis, and Protein-losing Enteropathy’, also known as CHAPLE Syndrome.
Cost of treatment
The cost of the treatment for one month is Rs. 20 lakh.
Luckily, a Turkish hospital offered to provide free treatment to the kid.
However, the parents have to bear other expenses including traveling and lodging costs.
It may be mentioned that the duration of treatment in Turkey is around 6 months.
Apart from it, the kid has to undergo treatment in Rainbow hospital, Hyderabad after returning from Turkey.
Current treatment
As it is an extremely life-threatening disease where protein levels go down and the body is vulnerable to multiple infections, the hospital is giving 3-4 Albumin protein injections per month.
The cost of the treatment per visit is around 15-16 thousand.
Father of the kid
The father of the kid, Tajuddin who works as a postman has been arranging funds for the treatment for the past eight years. However, now, affording treatment has become beyond his capacities.
