BAMU: Around 100 colleges likely to face closure

Mumbai: Many colleges that are affiliated to Baba Saheb Ambedkar University (BAMU) are likely to face closure as they lack sufficient teaching and non-teaching staff. There are around 100 such colleges.

It may be mentioned that 407 undergraduate and postgraduate colleges affiliated to BAMU. These colleges are located in Aurangabad, Jalna, Beed and Osmanabad districts.

Out of these 117 colleges are aided whereas, the remaining are unaided.

It is reported that the majority of the unaided colleges do not have sufficient staff.

Due to lack of staff, the results are getting delayed thereby impacting the image of the university.
