Bengaluru: Biker attacked, robbed for peeing on road

Bengaluru:  Four miscreants attacked a biker and assaulted, robbed him of his valuables when he stopped to urinate on the Hosur- Attibele road.

According to the complainant, the accused started assaulting the 41-year-old for urinating in an open place instead of going to a public toilet, BM reports.

The attackers rather than talking, immediately pulled out knives to threaten and robbed him. The attackers had worn monkey caps to cover their faces and soon fled the scene on two bikes.

The victim is a resident of Kodathi Gate on Sarjapura Main Road filed the complaint on Tuesday while the incident occurred on Sunday.

“The victim had gone to his hometown and was returning around 6 pm on Sunday as he had to work the night shift. He stopped the bike near the Ballur Gate to urinate. The four accused came on two bikes and stopped in front of his bike. They picked a fight with him for urinating on the road. Two of the accused started slapping him. The other two had knives with them. While one attacked the victim’s throat, the other stabbed his lower abdomen area,” said investigation officer.

The victim begged the assaulters not to kill him after they robbed him of his money, mobile phone and bike keys.

When another vehicle started approaching them, the four accused are said to have escaped on their bikes.

“The accused have taken Rs 1,470 from him along with a mobile phone. The gang was speaking in Kannada. The victim claims that he was unable to see the bikes’ registration numbers as he was in shock and visibility was low. The gang members were between 25 to 28 years of age,” the officer added.

The police have filed a robbery case under section 394 of IPC against four robbers.
