Bengaluru: A convict held in Parappana Agrahara Central Prison made a threatening call to his wife from prison warning to murder her the day he is released.
The 38-year-old man convicted for sexually abusing his own daughter landed in prison after his wife, a 32-year-old woman a resident of Austin Town filed complaint against him with the Ashok nagar police.
The woman in her complaint stated her husband had called one of his relatives and that relative brought over the cell to her on June 14 when she had gone to pick her daughter from school around 3.30pm, TNIE reports.
Her husband on the call threatened her to give a false statement in the court so that he is released. Refusing to do as she asked he said, he would kill her the day he comes out of the prison.
The woman disconnected the call and returned the cell to the relative and hurriedly rushed back to home with her daughter.
She later decided to file a police complaint against her husband.
