Hyderabad: Mr N. Ramchander Rao BJP MLC today strongly criticized the statement of State Education Minister Jagdeesh Reddy who stated that the Centre was trying to control education in the State and alleged that the Minister does not understand the National Education Policy.
Speaking to media persons here today Mr N. Ramchander Rao BJP MLC pointed out that the new Education Policy has been brought after a lot of debate and discussions. The Minister should, first of all, know that Education comes under Concurrent List where Centre and State have an equal role.
The Education Minister saying that Centre is trying to control education is wrong. They should first see and read what the New Education Policy has.
All Universities in the State have finance crunch Vice-Chancellors not appointed but this New education Policy is for the betterment of education system which will enable the common man to educate himself he added. He, however, condemned the Gurukul Society Secretary Praveen Kumar for criticizing introduction of Sanskrit Language in the New Education Policy and said that on the contrary Sanskrit should be encouraged which is the basis of all languages.
