BJP gets FIR lodged against Azam Khan, demands his disqualification from LS

Lucknow: BJP got an FIR lodged against Samajwadi Party MP Mohammad Azam Khan for reportedly making offensive remarks against BJP leader Jaya Prada. Following which a BJP leader has now written to the President and Lok Sabha Speaker to disqualify the Rampur MP and arrest him.

As reported by the Tribune India, BJP convener of the small scale industries cell Akash Saxena wrote a letter referring to Azam’s June 29 speech reportedly against his beta noir Jaya Prada delivered at a local function which has since gone viral on the social media.

The BJP leader described it as a serious matter, and has requested the President and the Lok Sabha Speaker to debar Azam Khan from his LS membership and arrest him “so that no one in future dares to insult women”.

Earlier an FIR was lodged against Azam Khan and 10 SP leaders, including Azam’s son Adeeb Azam Khan. It was alleged that on June 29 Azam used foul language against Jaya Prada, while addressing the voters for the first time since his win in the LS elections.
