Complaint filed against AIR producer for ‘Anti-Muslim’ FB post

Kozhikode: Complaints have been filed against K R Indira, Writer and programme producer at All India Radio for her anti-Muslim Facebook posts regarding Assam people who lost their relationship.

The Students Islamic Organisation (SIO) state general secretary Banas T filed a complaint against K R Indira to state police chief Loknath Behara and cyber cell, TOI reports

“In her Facebook post, Indira said the people of Assam, who lost their citizenship after the final draft of the National Register of Citizenship (NRC) was published, should be housed in refugee camps and sterilised,” Banas said in his complaint.

The writer also commented that Muslim women are breeding like pigs and that they should be sterilised by adding birth control medicine in pipes that supply drinking water.

In yet another complaint filed with Wayanad District police chief, Supreme Court lawyer Sreejit Perumana said her posts would attract Section 153 and 153 (a) of the IPC.

“The office of the state police chief had directed me to file a complaint with Wayanad police and cyber cell,” Sreejith said.

Meanwhile, a group of activists and writers has demanded Indira’s expulsion from All India Radio and stringent legal action against her.
