Conspiracy to kill Iraqi cleric foiled

Najaf: A conspiracy to kill the famous Shia cleric of Iraq, resident of Najaf was foiled and the group of conspirators has been arrested.

This was stated by the Governor of Najaf. He said that a group had entered Najaf to kill Shia Cleric, Ayatollah Sistani.

According to official sources, international imperial forces and the local radical groups had commonly planned to kill him. The protest was started in various cities of Iraq but when the people of Iraq came to know of this conspiracy, they decided to foil the evil design of enemies.

Planned conspiracy

Iraqi officials told that in a planned conspiracy, the enemies managed to arrange protest meetings before Arbayeen.

The people were being incited to attack the office of Ayatollah Ali Sistani which is located 80 km away from Najaf.

It may be mentioned that Ayatollah Sistani is the most respected cleric of Iraq. He had saved the country from internal disputes. He is so powerful that even the violent speaker Muqtadus Sadar also cannot afford to disobey him. The officials informed that the situation is under control and the pilgrims can visit the country without any fear.
