Delhi Police at the behest of BJP is harassing AAP leaders: Sanjay Singh tells EC

New Delhi: AAP leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Singh has written to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora alleging that Delhi Police is harassing AAP workers and common citizens at the behest of BJP leaders for “adding deleted names in Delhi’s electoral roll”

“The Delhi police which comes under the central government is acting on the behest of BJP leaders and is harassing AAP leaders, employees of call centers and common citizens and are trying their best to influence Lok Sabha polls,” stated Singh in his letter.

Singh alleged that it is because of the fact that AAP is “working for re-entering the lakhs of voters names deleted from the electoral roll of Delhi”. He claims that over 24 Lakh voters have been deleted from the electoral roll of Delhi.

“Through our “Matdata Banao Abhiyan’ our workers reached door-to-door and through call centres have done the work of adding the names that have been deleted. 30,000 voters were alone deleted from the electoral roll in South Delhi Lok Sabha seat”, read the letter.

The letter further alleged that BJP had a problem with this and they started harassing the party workers and call center employees.
