Disha rape case: FIR against four accused for ‘attacking’ cops

Hyderabad: Unfolding the chain of events in the Disha rape and murder case, an FIR has been registered against the four accused for ‘attacking’ the police.

The four accused have been killed in retaliation by the cops after the accused opened fire and attempted to run, News18 reports.

The cops have registered a case under IPC sections 307 (attempt to murder), 176 (omission to give notice or information to public servant by person legally bound to give it) and relevant sections of the Indian Arms Act against the accused.

The FIR was booked on Friday after a complaint filed by the in-charge of the police team.

While the encounter received mixed reactions from across the nation with some applauding the cop’s action while others condemning the act, a National Human Rights Commission team has arrived in the city to visit the place where the encounter took place, on Saturday.

The post-mortem of four accused was done in the Government District Hospital at Mahabubnagar district and it was videographed.
