ENT, Dental camps from Feb: CS

Hyderabad: Chief Secretary, Dr SK Joshi today directed that the officials should prepare an action plan for conducting health camps for Ear Nose, Throat (ENT) and Dental checkups across the districts from February.

At a review meeting here at Secretariat, SK Joshi instructed the officials concerned to make arrangements for preparing health profiles of the people by mobilising all resources and strength. He said that health camps are to be conducted on priority basis as chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has instructed them to do so. Plan and prepare on the equipment, special doctors, staff and facilities for the purpose and submit a report for funds, he said. The government gives priority for providing better health services to common people in the state and officials have to work efficiently and effectively, he said. The health camps across districts will ensure better services for people to check Ear, Nose, Throat and Dental ailments from February, he said.

The Chief Secretary sought the officials to put in place adequate medicines, hearing aids, dental chairs, equipment and facilities as part of the health camps for ENT and Dental. Joshi said that medical check up and creating the health profile of the people is of paramount importance for the government. He also asked them for setting up integrated health portal, use of common software, specialised services to the patients at the health camps in the state. Conduct camps on health camps and make better efforts for the success of the health camps, he added.

Medical, Health and Family Welfare Principal Secretary Shanti Kumari, Arogyasri Health Care Trust CEO Manik Raj, Director of Health and Family Welfare Yogitha Rana, Medical Education Director Ramesh Reddy, TSSPDCL CMD Raghuma Reddy, and others were present.
