Four students force youths to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’, held

Aurangabad: Four Engineering students allegedly forced Muslim youths to chant ‘Jai Shri Ram’ slogan. This incident took place on Sunday.

According to the report published in Times of India, in the incident which took place on the road between Azad Chowk and Bajrang Chowk, the students who were in drunkard condition forced the youths to chant the slogan.

After the details of the information spread, many youths gathered at Azad Chowk. Police officials reached the spot to bring the situation back to normalcy.

It may be mentioned that police struggled for hours to restore peace in the area. Some persons tried to attack the police van too.

On Monday, police arrested the accused persons and seized their car. They were charged under the relevant sections of IPC.

As per the details furnished by the police, the youths who were on a motorcycle were allowed to go after they chanted the slogan. The incident was recorded in the CCTV.
