Harassed on ‘Facebook’ girls attempt suicide

Tirupati: Three girls attempted suicide by consuming sleeping pills in AP’s Anantapur district yesterday.

According to sources the girls who are also classmates, took the extreme step after they could no longer continue to get harassed by the Facebook Friend from whom the girls had borrowed money, TOI reports.

The girls were found in an unconscious state at a bus station. They were rushed to a nearby hospital.

The accused ‘Facebook friend’ was later arrested after the girls gave their statement.
