Heart attack: 6-year-old falls during morning Assembly prayer

Jamshedpur: Heart-related ailments are no longer limited to older people but the younger generation is falling prey to heart diseases as minor as 15 years old.

In a shocking incident, a six-year-old girl suffered a heart attack in Jamshedpur, TOI reports.

The Class I student Vaishnavi Jha died of heart attack while attending the morning assembly prayer at Shiksha Niketan school in the Telco area of Jamshedpur on Tuesday.

She was perfectly normal when she came to the school when she suddenly fell on the floor.

The school staff immediately rushed the minor to Tata Motors Hospital, where doctors declared her brought dead.

“We rushed her to the hospital, but couldn’t save her. Doctors said she suffered a heart attack,” said the school principal Sunita Dey.

In remembrance of the girl, the school remained closed for the day after offering condolence prayers and observing a two-minute silence in her memory.
