Hyderabad: A minor girl took an extreme step to end her life by committing suicide in her house located in Yadadri Bhuvanagiri this Thursday.
According to the claims, the 14-year-old victim ended her life over sexual harassment by PTE teacher she was friends with.
The victim’s family filed a case against youth on charges of stalking and harassing her.
The incident happened on Thursday when the family was away for a visit to the temple.
On their return, when the girl did not answer the doorbell, they broke open the door to find the victim hanging from the ceiling.
The victim’s father who is a guard at Rachakonda Commissionerate, accused S Giribabu (24), a PTE teacher for forcing her to marry him.
“We didn’t find any suicide note,” said DCP Bhongir, Narayana Reddy.
The police have filed a case under Section 306 (abetment of suicide) of the IPC against the accused Giribabu, who is on the run.
“His relatives alleged that the girl and the boy used to exchange messages. It is suspected that their families found out about their friendship,” added the DCP.
