Hyderabad City Police catch ATM thieves red-handed

Hyderabad:  The Falaknuma police patrolling car personnel prevented an ATM robbery in the intervening hours of Sunday at Shamsheergunj.

While the two cops of Falaknuma police station on their patroling noticed shadows inside the ATIM on Shamsheergunj road in Falaknuma after which they decided to check it and found three men when they notice cops are heading towards them the gang of three tried to escape but the police officers chased and grabbed them.

When the police started inquiring about their suspicious presence in the ATM the gang didn’t give any satisfactory answers. The officers searched their bags and found a gas cutter kit, two gas cylinder, three oxygen cylinder, four crowbars, five hacksaws, six jack, and seven crunchy.

Sub-Inspector P. Chandra Shekar Reddy said, “If we didn’t have apprehended them they would have surely committed theft in the ATM, also while interrogating the gang they revealed that the equipment belongs to them.”

The gang of three has been identified as Mohammed Mubeen (23) resident of Shaheen Nagar, Shaik Quasim Ali (25) resides in Talabkatta, and Md Sajid (20) resident of Golconda.

The prime accused Mohammed Mubeen had already been arrested for committing thefts and one of the wanted suspects in various criminal offenses.

According to police, after releasing from jail, Mubeen didn’t change his attitude and lured Shaik Quasim Ali and Md Sajid, Mubeen hatched a plan to commit theft in an ATM along with his associates whom he promised to given the huge profit.
