Hyderabad: Dowry greed once again claimed the life of a woman. In the area which falls under the jurisdiction of Golconda Police Station, a man killed his wife after harassing her to get more dowry.
As per the details of the case, Bashir Ahmed, husband of Sameera had made a demand of Rs. 10 lakh as dowry. However, his in-laws had paid Rs. 5 lakh. He was harassing his wife for getting another Rs. 5 lakh.
She had informed her mother on telephone that her life is in danger.
When Bashir did not receive the amount, he killed his wife and fled away.
Later, Samiuddin, brother of the deceased approached Golconda Police and lodged a complaint. Police registered an FIR and constituted special team for the arrest of the accused. Police is also investigating the case from all angles.
