Hyderabad: Over 450 students of Sultan-ul-Uloom donates blood

Hyderabad: Sultan-ul-Uloom College of Pharmacy on the occasion of World Pharmacists Day on Wednesday conducted a massive Blood Donation Camp in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Blood Bank – Telangana Branch.

 The camp was inaugurated by Lt. Gen. Hari Prasad (Retd), Former Commander-in-Chief, Northern Command, Indian Army and Padma Dr. P Raghuram, Director and Consultant Surgeon-KIMS-Ushalaxmi Centre, President-The Association of Surgeons of India inaugurated the camp and appreciated the donors for taking part in a noble cause.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. P. Raghuram said, “Blood donated by a single individual can save three lives. He emphasized that there is always a lack of availability of blood to the needy and hence the donors should encourage others to donate and congratulated all pharmacists on the eve of World Pharmacists Day”.

Lt. Gen. Hari Prasad said, “Youngsters contribute a lot to the building the nation in every aspect. He narrated many incidents of combat operations that required to save our army”. He encouraged students to work hard with dedication and join Indian army.

Both the guests appreciated Mr. Zafar Javeed Hony. Secretary, Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society, the efforts put in year after year conducting the blood donation

Dr. Mir Akbar Ali Khan, Treasurer, Mr. S.A. Wahab and Mr. Aamer Javeed,  Board Members of Sultan-ul-Uloom Education Society, and Dr. Anupama Koneru, Principal also participated in the event.
