Hyderabad: A group of local residents raised an objection over the erection of Ganesh Mandap at Tappachabutra. Police took immediate action and commissioned the Rapid Action Force and Quick Reaction Team.
Iron shed triggers unrest
It is reported that two youths by name; Moinuddin and Taufeeq made a complaint in the police station that earlier, temporary tatti shed used to be erected but this time, the iron shed has been installed which created mild tension in the area.
Police commissioned the representative of the temple committee and asked the reason for this change. The Committee members gave a written assurance that the iron shed prepared for Ganesh festival will also be used for Dasera and other festivals. After these festivals, the shed will be dismantled.
Wakf Board officials visit the spot
In order to review the situation, Wakf Board officials also reached the spot since it is reported that the place where the shed was erected is the board’s property.
After written assurance of the members of the temple committee, the situation became normal. However, as a precautionary measure, police picket has been posted at the spot.
