Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, Sri Chaitanya College accountant in Hyderabad was beaten to death for harassing a woman at Allapur on Friday.
The 36-year-old victim identified as Rajaiah was working as an accountant at Sri Chaitanya College in Madhapur, TOI reported.
According to reports, Rajaiah met the woman’s family four years ago at Moosapet and wanted to marry her.
However, the woman did not like him and married another man.
“Rajaiah was upset that the woman did not marry him. He continued to harass the woman, her husband and the woman’s mother,” Balanagar ACP K Purushotham said.
Unable to endure any more harassment from Rajaiah’s end, the woman’s husband, Srisailam, his mother, Lakshmi, his mother-in-law, Chitti, and his friend Jayaram went to Rajaiah’s house on Friday and attacked him with sticks.
“Rajaiah succumbed to injuries while undergoing treatment at Gandhi Hospital,” the ACP said.
The Police have registered a case against the accused and probing the matter.
