Hyderabad techie who wanted to meet beloved lands in Pak jail

Hyderabad: A Hyderabad-based techie landed in jail after he reportedly entered Pakistan without valid documents. He was arrested in Pakistan’s Cholistan.

According to the report published in News18, the techie, Prashant Vaindam who hails from Vijayawada, AP wanted to visit Singapore to meet his online girlfriend, however, he ended up in Pakistan Jail. Recently, his video also went viral on social media.

Police are trying to find out how he landed in Pakistan.

As per Pakistani media, the techie and another person were arrested on 14th November in a desert close to Bahawalpur District.

My son is not a spy: Prashanth’s father

On Tuesday, Prashanth’s father, Babu Rao gave a statement to media persons. Rao said that his son has been missing since he left for office at 9 a.m. on 11th April 2017.

According to the report published in Times of India, Rao said that his son is not a spy.

‘We will approach the Ministry of External Affairs’, Rao added.

Prashanth’s video message

In a video message, Prashanth told that Pakistani police brought him to court from the police station. The techie also said that he will be shifted to jail.

‘India and Pakistan exchange prisoners, however, it will take time’, he added.
