Hyderabad: An unmarried woman, who had tried to abort her pregnancy earlier, gave birth to a stillborn child in a bathroom after taking homeopathic medicines, at Rasoolpura area of Begumpet.
According to sources, the young woman had avoided medical termination of the pregnancy in the hospital. She went to a homeopathy doctor in Rasoolpura who prescribed her medicine, after taking which she experienced pain in the stomach.
A source close to the family said the she was unable to bear the pain and so requested the owner of a house next to the clinic to use the bathroom. She happened to deliver a baby inside.
The panicked owner called the doc- tor, but by that time the newborn was already dead. The owner called the police who registered a case. The woman was taken to Gandhi hospital for treatment.
