ICNA Relief extends financial assistance to orphan students

Hyderabad: The program of disbursement of financial assistance – 2019, to 400 Orphan students sponsored by ICNA Relief, Canada, was held at our Trust office on 28th  December 2019, in which 2nd and final Installment of Rs.7,200/- to each Orphan student is paid.

INR.62.06 Lakhs (US$88,650) has been disbursed among 400 deserving orphan students for the academic year 2019-20, under the sponsorship of ICNA Relief, Canada.

During the 2nd Program held at Unity Centre, on 28th December 2019, Smt. Dr. Christina Z.Chongthu, IAS, Commissioner, Tribal Welfare, Government of Telangana, was the Chief Guest of the event, while Mrs. Nafees Khan, Hon’ble Board member ICNA Relief, Canada, Mrs. Tasneem Osmani, Director, Educate India Fund, USA, and Mr. Mohsin Ali Khan, President HAWMA, USA were the guests of honor of the function, who in general emphasized on the importance of education, which is most vital for the development and progress of the community.

Cheques distributed

The cheques were distributed to the Orphan beneficiaries by the hands of Chief Guest and Guests of honor.

Mr. Abdul Aleem Khan, Chairman FEED, presented brief activities of our Trust including this Orphan program exclusively sponsored by ICNA Relief, Canada.

Mr. Ghiasuddin Babukhan, Managing Trustee FEED informed about the Orphans project of FEED and Hyderabad Zakat and Charitable Trust benefitting nearly 13,000 orphans annually from the trust’s donations of over Rs. 4.50 Crores ($645,000) on this project.

Mr. Adil Sanai-KSA, Mr. Khalid Osmani-USA, Mr. Mohammad Aman, Mr. Ahmed Yezdani, Mr. Mohammad Abdul Waheed Khan Farooqui, FEED Trustees viz. Mr. Mohammad Ziauddin, Mr. Javeed Hood, Mr. Mohammad Aliuddin Hyder, were also present in the program.

The program was convened by Mr. Maaz Ziauddin Nayyar. The program was concluded with the vote of thanks by Mr. Ahmed Sayeed, Managing Trustee, Hyderabad Zakat and Charitable Trust.
