Indian Armed Forces pay tribute to frontline COVID-19 warriors

Hyderabad: Indian Armed Forces conveyed their appreciation and gratitude by organising Solidarity Day on 02/03 May 2020 in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secunderabad. A colourful band display was carried out at Golconda Fort and Hussain Sagar Lake on 02 May to pay tributes to the medical staff, police and sanitation workers.

Major General RK Singh, General Officer Commanding, Telangana and Andhra Sub Area spear headed the efforts by visiting Hyderabad Police Commissionerate and applauding the efforts of the Police. Shri Anjani Kumar, IPS, Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City with other Police officials were present.

Brigadier Abhijit Chandra, Station Commander and other army officials visited Gandhi Hospital, NIMS, Military Hospital Golconda, Secunderabad Cantonment Board and various police stations and expressed gratitude to the staff besides distributing hampers.

The Indian Air Force helicopter flew over Gandhi hospital and Military Hospital Golconda which are the COVID-19 treatment facilities and showered flower petals to honour the efforts.

The event was finally closed by grand display of Indian Air Force transport aircraft flying over Hussain Sagar Lake to pay tribute to all the Corona Warriors.

As part of “India salutes COVID-19 warriors”, Brigadier Abhijit Chandra, station commander felicitating the doctors, medical, police, media and sanitation staff. A chetak helicopter of Indian Airforce is dropping flower petals on the doctors and staff of Gandhi Hospital, Secunderabad on Sunday.
