Jamia Students continue protest

New Delhi:  Students of Jamia Milla Islamia completed 18 days continuous protest yesterday against CAA and NRC.

Despite severe cold, the students gathered in large numbers.

Many social activists and student leaders also joined the protest and opposed the controversial act.

Among the speakers, former minister of M.P. Mr. Rama Shankar Singh told that the Muslims were always with the country and anyone who makes an attempt to expel them from country should be condemned.

Social activist, Sultan Khan said that Govt. is trying to make the Muslims the second grade citizens.

He also told that these days, the Muslims are leading the campaign.

In this speech, he recalled the oaths which Maulana Azad had administered to the Muslims for not leaving the country.

Mr. Qasim Rasool, President of Welfare Party of India saluted the students of Jamia and said that no one can divide their unity.

President of ANSA, Kanwal Preet Kaur said that those who identify the people of this country by the garment they wear and support violence are the fascists.

DUTA’s former President, Nandita Narayan criticized the Govt. and told that it wants to crush any voice of the opposition, but the students of Jamia will not allow it to happen.

Former student of JNU, Farooq Alam called Modi and Amit Shah, a combination of idiots.

President of BS CEM, Ms. Rajveer told that the students are not only the nationals but they are international.

Dr. Kafeel Khan also participated in the protest.

The coordination committee of the students of Jamia said that the protest will continue till the black act is withdrawn.
