Mumbai: Jio GigaFiber service is likely to be made available commercially from 5th September. This announcement was made by Reliance Industries (RIL) Chairman, Mr. Mukesh Ambani.
The subscribers of Jio GigaFiber would not only get broadband speeds of up to 1 GBPS but also a landline phone connection.
According to the report published in Gadget Now, the subscriber will also get unlimited international calling to Canada and US at Rs. 500 per month.
Jio-Forever plans
The customers who opt for annual plans, “Jio-Forever plans”, will get an HD (High Definition) or 4K LED television and a 4K set-top-box for free.
It may be mentioned that the tariff plans would be priced between Rs 700 and Rs 10,000 per month.
As per Live Mint report, the Jio Fiber customers can watch movies and other video content of entertainment mobile apps without payment of any additional cost as it will be included in the monthly broadband connection rates.
It is also reported that STB will provide video calling facility on TV sets.
Here are the steps to register online
- Visit the website of Jio GigaFiber (click here).
- Enter address.
- After selecting ‘Home address’ or ‘Work address’, users will get a window where they have to enter ‘full name’, ‘mobile number’ and ’email id’.
- If the service available in the area, you will get a call from the executive of the company. After verification of the details, the broadband connection will get activated within a day.
- A refundable amount of Rs. 2500 need to be deposited through digital means.
