Kishan Reddy takes a dig at AIMIM chief for Trump comment

Hyderabad: Union Minister of State for Home Minister G Kishan Reddy in his report to Centre today asked ‘who is giving shelter to 6,000 Rohingyas currently living in Hyderabad’.

Hyderabad city has become the second largest Asylum after Jammu and Kashmir for Rohingyas who were given shelter in the city after escaping the brutal genocide carried out by Mynmar authorities.

Answering a question at a press meet here, Kishan Reddy informing the State said 6,000 Rohingyas were currently living in Hyderabad.

Why are asylum seekers are not living close to border and rather chose Hyderabad is raising questions he said, however he cleared he is not casting any aspersions on the Rohingyas but has stressed that India needs to take care of its own needs first.

He said this is not about religion but about being in India legally and that some of those seeking shelter here were already given identity cards by some NGOs and not by the UN.

He alleged some of them has also managed to get Aadhaar cards.

Kishan Reddy asks Owaisi to stick to his constituency

He further went on to advise AIMIM president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi to stick to matters relating to his constituency and that he must leave matters related to international affairs to the Central government.

“As far as Hyderabad is concerned, Owaisi can speak. He is just an MP. There is no need for him to speak about Trump,” Kishan Reddy responded on Mr Owaisi’s comment.

“We are celebrating the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi, to take Modi’s message about Gandhi and peace to all corners of the country from this October 2,” he added.
