Hyderabad: AICC State incharge RC Kuntia today said the Election Commission failed to increase poll percentage in the just concluded Lok Sabha elections. He said the poll percentage in Madhya Pradesh elections drastically came down than what it was in the Assembly elections. Kuntia said the Congress would win 10 Lok Sabha seats despite low percentage of votes.
Addressing the media at Gandhi Bhavan, Kuntia said the State has registered 65.7 percent of voting in the Lok Sabha elections. He alleged that there was EVMs tampering in the last year’s Assembly elections. He said many of the polling stations did not have proper supply and other facilities causing trouble to the voters.
He also said the EC did not use ballot despite they had an option in Nizamabad. He said the Nizamabad voters faced a lot of trouble due to the presence of 12 EVMs in the district. He asked the EC as to how they allowed release of the biopic made on Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao. He also alleged that the Election Commission was supporting the State government completely. Kuntia said Rahul Gandhi would become next Prime Minister.
