Liquor shops reopen in Telangana, tipplers throng stores

Hyderabad: On day one of liquor sale, Police personnel deployed at the liquor shops have used lathis to beat back thirsty Telanganites jostling to purchase alcohol for the first time in 40 days after Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao gave a green signal to the sale of liquor by increasing 16 per cent tax on alcohol.
