Mahant Paramhans Das suggests the name for Masjid on 5-acre land

Ayodhya: Mahant Paramhans Das on Monday suggested that if Masjid was constructed on a 5-acre land to be given by the state government, it can be named after a Muslim nationalist or founder of Islam, Muhammad Sahab.

“Masjid is home of Allah. There is no need to name it after someone but if required then it can be named after a Muslim nationalist or Muhammad Sahab,” Das said while speaking to ANI.

He said that there is a possibility that Muslims might show a big heart and not take the land.

Das further claimed that some religious people had told him that they are satisfied with the apex court’s judgment since they cannot build a Masjid on disputed land, according to Isalm.

“Muslims are a thousand times happier than Hindus. Muslim religious leaders had told me it is written in Islam that Masjid cannot be built on disputed land. Also, namaz offered on such land will not be accepted. Muslim brothers are happy as they have got a 5-acre of undisputed land,” the Mahant said.

On November 9 the top court had directed the Central government to hand over the disputed site at Ayodhya for the construction of a temple and set up a trust for this.

The apex court had further directed the government to give a suitable plot of land measuring five acres to the Sunni Waqf Board.
