Maharashtra: Oath tomorrow, Ministeries yet to be worked out

New Delhi: With the BJP government’s fall in Maharashtra, the Shiv-Sena-Congress-NCP alliance is yet to be worked out.

However, Shiv Sena seems to have the leverage in this alliance as Uddhav Thackeray will be sworn as Maharashtra’s new CM tomorrow while the allocation of ministries in the new Maha Vikas Aghadi coalition including the Deputy CM’s post is yet to be worked out, according to sources.

According to Congress Chief Balasaheb Thorat, the allocations in the new Cabinet will be decided in a “couple of days.”

BJP’s huge loss with Fadnavis government collapsing within 80 hours of them claiming power.

“The ratio of portfolio-sharing will be finalized in the next two days. The number of Cabinet and Minister of State () posts to be given to each party will also be finalized in next two days,” said Balasaheb Thorat.

The state’s 43 ministry positions will be divided between the three parties and the ratio believed to be in discussion is 15 ministries for the Sena, 15 for the NCP and 12 for the Congress.
