Man arrested, 25 voter ID seized

Hyderabad: In the outskirts of the city, a strange incident took place which shattered the sleep of election staff on duty.

Balapur Police arrested a man who was transporting voter ID Cards.

On 16th January, police intercepted an auto rickshaw at Errakunta on suspicion. Soon, a man got off the auto rickshaw with an intention to escape but cops nabbed him.

Police also seized 25 voter ID cards.

It is reported that these voter ID Cards pertains to Ward number 3,9,10 and 25 of Jalpally Municipality.

During the interrogation, Shoeb confessed the guilt and mentioned the name of another person, Farooq Saadi.

According to Balapur Police, Shoeb had got prepared 500 voter ID Cards earlier through Farooq Saadi.

It is reported that Shoeb runs a meseva center. He was working on the instructions from Farooq Saadi.

Balapur Police is in search of Farooq Saadi who is absconding. Police is exploring the possibilities of Farooq’s association with a political party.

Balapur Police has already recorded the statement of Shoeb.

It is said that strict vigil would be maintained on Municipal Ward number 3,9,10 and 25 on the day of polling.
