Hyderabad: A gruesome case of murder was uncovered in the city on Thursday, wherein a man was killed and his body was dumped in a refrigerator. The deceased was identified as Sideeq Ahmed (38), a native of Karimnagar, who was a tailor by profession. He had been staying with his family in an apartment in Karmikanagar in Jubilee Hills.
On Thursday, residents of the apartment complained of foul smell emanating from his flat, upon which a team from the Jubilee Hills police reached the spot and broke open the lock. The police stumbled on to the dead body of Sideeq Ahmed in the refrigerator.
Police officials said that two days ago Ahmed’s wife Rubina had gone to her mother’s house and that the husband was staying alone in the flat. His killers reportedly used a heavy object to hit Ahmed’s head, which in all likelihood killed him. resulting in the death. The police have registered a case and investigation is under way.
