Man in Norway stops Quran desecration, internet calls him hero

NEW DELHI: A Muslim youth on social media hailed after he interrupted an anti-Islam rally that desecrated the Holy Quran.

The incident that drew nationwide condemnation happened in the Muslim-populated city of Kristiansand.

In a video that is going viral on social media, a man from far-right and racist group SIAN (Stop the Islamisation of Norway) carried out an abominable hate-crime during an anti-Islam rally.

When the hateful man was about to almost set the holiest book, Al-Quran on fire, a youngster launched himself in the direction of the culprit and kicked him to save the holy book from being desecrated.

The Norway police instantly got into action but unfortunately pinned the Muslim youth onto the floor, while the man offending millions of Muslims, walked free.

Netizens took to social media to praise the man identified as Ilyas as a hero for defending the Quran.
