MUMBAI: Actress Rani Mukerji, who plays a cop in “Mardaani 2” visited Dubai on December 12 to meet women cops in the city.
As part of Yash Raj Films’ (YRF) tie-up with Dubai Police, Ms Mukherjee visited the Smart Police Station in La Mer.
She arrived at the station in a souped-up Maserati Dubai Police car.
Ms Mukerji interacted with attendees at the special screening of Mardaani 2 at VOX Cinemas, City Centre Deira and also dedicated the film to Dubai’s female police officers.
The film is a sequel to the 2014 film “Mardaani” with Rani reprising her role of Superintendent of Police Shivani Roy. The new film is set in Kota, Rajasthan, and it revolves around Shivani trying to nab a 21-year-old villain played by Vishal Jethwa.
The trailer of “Mardaani 2” has received over 10 million views on YouTube since its release.
