Hyderabad: State Minorities commission on Friday issued to Director General Police of Telangana in connection with the cases registered against Million March. Responding to the representation made by the Joint Action Committee (JAC) Andhra Pradesh and Telangana against Citizenship Amendment Act and NRC, the commission has asked DGP to file its reply on January 31.
On January 9 a delegation of JAC under the leadership of its convenor Mohammed Mushtaq Malik had made a representation with the Minorities commission against the registration of cases despite taking out peaceful Million March. The JAC alleged that Hyderabad and Cyberabad police have registered more than fifteen cases which are false.
The JAC in its representation demanded the dropping of cases registered against the public in connection with peaceful million march.
Acting on the representation the Minorities commission on Friday directed the Telangana State DGP to personally look into the issue and submit a detailed report on or before January 31.
