Minorities in Bihar irritated with JD (U)

Patna: The stand taken by JD (U) regarding Citizenship Amendment Bill 2019 irritated the Minorities in Bihar. Earlier, the party had opposed it but later, it voted in favour of the bill.

On social media and print media, people are expressing their wrath, especially against the Muslim MPs.

Minorities have also targeted the CM of Bihar, Mr. Nitish Kumar. They clearly told the Muslim MPs to quit JD (U).

It may be mentioned that on the policy of JD (U) to dissociate itself from RJD and joining hands with BJP, Minorities were already irritated with Mr. Nitish Kumar. In order to patch up its status, JD (U) had to face a lot of difficulties.

It may be noted that a large section of the Muslims had joined JD (U) leaving RJD but after extending support to CAB by JD (U), questions are being raised against the leadership.

RJD was contemplating that the Muslims might withdraw their support to JD (U) which will result in their coming back to RJD.

RJD is propagating that in hostility against the Muslims, JD (U) has joined hands with BJP.

Bihar will go to polls next year. All the political parties are making preparations for general elections. RJD was contemplating that the Muslim vote would get divided which would benefit JD (U) but there is no such possibility now. JD (U)’s support to CAB is certainly going to affect in the next Assembly elections in Bihar.
