Modi, Sitharaman have no idea what to do next: Rahul Gandhi

New Delhi: Just three days ahead of the Union Budget, former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday took a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on the country’s state of the economy, saying they have no idea what to do next.

“Modi and his dream team of economic advisors have literally turned the economy around. Earlier: GDP: 7.5 percent, Inflation: 3.5 percent. Now: GDP: 3.5 percent and Inflation: 7.5 percent. The Prime Minister and Finance Minister have absolutely no idea what to do next,” Gandhi tweeted.

Sitharaman will present the Union Budget in Parliament on Saturday.

Congress leaders have held press conferences on the state of the economy since Monday to highlight the financial mismanagement of the country.
