Muslim leaders meet in Malaysia to consider Uighur issue

Kuala Lumpur:  A meeting of the prominent Muslim leaders will be held in Kuala Lumpur this week to take into consideration various issues concerning the Islamic world.

Special attention will be paid on the middle issues and Uighur Muslims’ problem in China.

Top Muslim leaders from Iran, Turkey and Qatar will participate in the meeting.

PM of Malaysia, Dr. Mahathir Bin Mohamad will host this meeting. He is being considered as the Champion for the unity and solidarity of the Muslims of the world.

It is reported that Mahathir desires to improve the status of his country on various Islamic issue.

The important question which is likely to crop us in the meeting will be whether China would consider Uighur Muslims a minority or not.

It may be mentioned that lakhs of Muslims have been kept in the detention camps whereas the leaders of the Muslim countries keeping silences on this issue.

Before the commencement of the meeting, the office of Mahathir Mohammed released a statement highlighting the serious issues the Muslims of the world are facing these days.

This four day summit is being held from 18th to 21st December. It is likely to be attended by President of Turkey, Mr. Erdogan, PM of Pakistan, Mr. Imran Khan, Amir of Qatar and others.
