New education policy based on saffron ideology

New Delhi: A convention on New National Education Policy 2019 was organised by Delhi State Committee of All India Democratic Students Organisation. Besides students of other universities and colleges, students of Delhi University, Jamia Millia Islamia University, Ambedkar University and Jawaharlal Nehru University attended the convention. They expressed a strong reaction on the Draft Education Policy.

Addressing on the occasion, Dr Gunjan Sharma of School of Education Studies declared the said policy as unnecessary. He said that central government by way of this policy wants to have complete control on the education system. No doubt the draft policy aims at defeating the concept of the education system’s autonomy. It will prove very destructive for our education system, which is already facing crisis due to privatization and commercialization of education, he said. He also claimed that the new education policy is based on saffron ideology and is paving the way to saffronise education. He urged students, teachers and the general public to run movement against the draft education policy.

Dr Sachin Narayan told that the Modi’s government decision to implement new education policy is anti-students. He said the central government doesn’t want poor people to grow.

During his presidential address, Prashant Kumar said during Modi regime, everything is badly affected. There is no business, no employment. Inflation is at its peak. Through new education policy, the government wants to communalise education which we strongly condemn, he said.
