New Delhi: A man was arrested for allegedly raping his 12-year-old daughter after making her consume cold drink laced with drugs.
The man made the victim consume sedative-laced cold drink and raped her on Monday when her mother had gone to her maternal house and fled.
“The victim’s mother lodged an FIR today after which the arrest was made,” Shoman Verma, Superintendent of Police (City) said.
Police has booked the accused under section 376 (rape) of IPC and sections of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.
The victim has been sent for medical examination and further interrogation into the matter is on.’
