Mumbai: A famous TV actor who became famous in “Beyhadh” was arrested under Section 376 of IPC after he allegedly raped a 23-year-old fashion designer.
According to the news published in Deccan Chronicle, TV Actor Piyush Sahdev was arrested by Versova Police on rape charges after a fashion a designer filed a complaint.
Talking about the case, Kiran Kale, Senior Inspector of Police told that the actor was arrested on 22nd November. He also told that he will be in remand till 27th November.
It is also reported that the complaint against the actor was lodged on 20th November following which the actor was produced before the court on Wednesday.
Actor’s sister, Meher Vij who is flying high on account of the success of “Secret Superstar” pleaded ignorance about the incident.
Reacting to this case, she told that she came to know about the incident only through media reports.
She further said that due to Piyush’s wife, she doesn’t have any contacts with him.
It may be mentioned that in March this year, another TV actor Parth Samthaan was also accused of sexual harassment.
