Did Alwaleed Bin Talal pay the price for Trump’s opposition?

After landing the Saudi billionaire Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal in jail, the supporters of Crown prince Mohammed bin Salman have to say that the action was necessary to end the corruption prevalent in Saudi Arabia. However those who are resented with this move of Saudi crown prince say that the arrest was not because of corruption but was made at the behest of US president Donald Trump.

Alwaleed Bin Talal is the same Saudi prince, current US President Donald Trump had a Twitter spat with back in 2016. Here’s what conspired during the infamous Twitter fight.
Responding to Trump’s calls for banning Muslims from entering the US, Alwaleed Bin Talal called out to Trump and asked him to drop out of the US Presidential elections.
“.@realDonaldTrump You are a disgrace not only to the GOP but to all America. Withdraw from the U.S presidential race as you will never win,” Talal wrote on Twitter back in 2015.

Trump responded: “Dopey Prince @Alwaleed_Talal wants to control our U.S. politicians with daddy’s money. Can’t do it when I get elected. #Trump2016”

Trumps talks with Prince Mohammed on telephone after Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal’s arrest also proves that the arrests were not just to end corruption.

It must also be noted that Trump and Alwaleed have business rivalry too. Somewhere Trump who is also a business tycoon is jealous of Alwaleed who is the only industrialist of the world who owns two private jets and a jumbo jet. Another reason behind Trump’s jealousy with Alwaleed could be that Alwaleed has also bought an expensive and impressive yacht, which was once owned by Donald Trump.

Apart from Trump’s opposition Alwaleed was also not happy with the crowning of Salman’s son instead of his nephew. Besides no charges have been made against Alwaleed so far, nor the Saudi Arabian government has informed what kind of corruption Al- Alwaleed is involved in? Ironically the arrest has been made first and the allegation will be made later.
