Andhra Pradesh Haj Committee has received as many as 2,840 applications for Haj 2018. The applicants include 1514 men and 1326 women.
According to Haj Committee Executive Officer Mohammed Liyaqat Ali, of 2840 applications, 1230 were received online. Maximum applications have been received from Kurnool (559) followed by Guntur (470), East Godavari (425), Anantapur (395), Kadapa (332), Krishna (238), Nellore (164), Visakhapatnam (131), Pakasam (101), West Godavari (48), Vizianagaram (28) and seven applications have been received from Srikakulam district. He also informed that 78 persons, who applied online, did not submitted all their details to the Haj Committee.
Liyaqat Ali said that the Haj Committee of India would soon issue a notification on the Haj quota allotted to Andhra Pradesh
