Arrangements for Ramadan, chairman of Wakf Board holds meeting

Hyderabad: In connection with making arrangements for Ramadan, Mr. Mohammed Saleem, Chairman of TS Wakf Board held a review meeting on Saturday at Haj House. The meeting was attended by the officials of GHMC, Police, Electricity, Dairy Development and other departments.

He instructed the officials to make arrangements for keeping the shops open throughout nights during Ramadan.

Mr. B. Shafiullah, CEO of Wakf Board conducted the meeting. He highlighted the needs of the Muslim concentration areas and Masajid. GHMC officials informed that Rs. 7.5 crore has been allocated for the repair of roads in Old City whereas Rs. 16 lakh has been provided for the repairs of roads in New City. They also told that a control room would be set up at Sardar Mahal. Arrangements would be made for cleaning the toilets and garbage twice daily.

Mr. Saleem instructed the officials to take steps for the eradication of mosquitos. DCP of South Zone, Mr. Satyanarayana informed that arrangement would be made on the occasions of Shab-e-Qadar, Jumatul-Vida and Eid-ul-Fitr. Vigilance would be observed to curb the activities of communal elements.

SHE teams will keep an eye on the miscreants. Officials of Water Board informed that water supply would be regulated wherever there are needs.

Police officials assured that there will not be any cordon search and Chabutra Mission during Ramadan.

Officials of electricity department informed that 18 transformers would be installed around Charminar. They also assured that uninterrupted power supply would be maintained at the time of Seher, Iftar and Taraweeh. A special cell for complaints would be set up.

Mr. Saleem told that CM of TS, Mr. KCR is very serious about making good arrangements for Ramadan. He informed that whitewashing of masajid would be done on behalf of Wakf Board.

Mr. B. Shafiullah, CEO of Wakf Board instructed the officials of Waterworks to make arrangements in Makkah Masjid.
