“FC Barcelona will soon inform of the arrival of the player and the agenda of the presentation,” the statement added.

Ecstatic to join the club, Vidal thanked Bayern Munich for providing him with an opportunity to play for Barcelona.

“Thanks to Bayern and all the fans. I really enjoyed my time in Munich. I would like to thank the club for giving me another chance to take on a new challenge in Barcelona,” Bayern Munich’s website quoted Vidal, as saying.

Barcelona were initially interested in signing Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Adrien Rabiot but after failing to convince the Frenchman for the same, they went ahead with Vidal, goal.com reported.

The Chilean footballer became Barcelona’s fourth major signing after they roped in Brazillian strikers Malcom and Arthur Melo, along with French footballer Clement Lenglet.
