Bhopal: Congress General Secretary and Madhya Pradesh former Chief Minister Dig Vijay Singh said that Congress is not in favour of triple talaq nor it ever was. Holding BJP responsible for stalling triple talaq bill till winter session, he said BJP is telling lies. He asked why the bill was not tabled in the beginning of the session why it was brought on the last day. If it was so necessary session could have been extended for a day.
Mr Singh said Congress is always for social welfare. We are not in favour of triple talaq and never were. The bill was stalled till winter session as consensus could not be formed between government and opposition in Rajya Sabha.
