Lucknow : The Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) MLAs disrupted Uttar Pradesh Governor Ram Naik’s address to the joint session of the state assembly on Friday citing the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, and equating it with what they called ‘jungle raj’.
“There is no law and order in the state, ‘ jungle raj’ is prevalent,” BSP leader Naseemuddin Siddiqui, told the media here.
The RLD, Congress and BSP members also took banners and posters inside the assembly.
The governor couldn’t complete his speech and the assembly was adjourned.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav will be presenting the budget for the year 2016-17, which would be his fourth. This will also be the last budget of the present Samajwadi Party government as the state goes to polls early next year.
According to the schedule, the budget for the 2016-17 will be presented in the House on February 12. The session is likely to conclude on March 11. (ANI)
