Congress leader walks in Sardar Patel Museum wearing footwear

Bardoli, Gujarat: Despite a warning for removing shoes outside Sardar Patel Museum, the Congress leader K Raju walked in there with his footwear on.

Not only Mr Raju entered the museum wearing footwear but also his supporters. Interestingly, he got himself ‘felicitated’ in front of the bust of Patel with his footwear, reports India Today.

The incident comes amidst claims of reviving the legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel by BJP as well as Congress.

The museum, that is situated near Sardar Niwas in Bardoli, has clear written instructions of removing footwear outside the premises.

PM Modi while addressing a crowd hinted at the previous government and said: “Some people tried to ensure the contribution of Sardar Patel is forgotten”.

While Congress accused BJP of ‘rewriting history’ by marking the struggle of leaders like Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel as their own.
